New Orleans Associated Press photographer earned a spot in Sen. Obama's traveling press corps after his shot of the Senator speaking at Tulane University landed on the cover of Time Magazine. The now famous picture depicts the back of Sen. Obama's head shrouded by unique lighting that produced a "halo" image. Mr. Brandon traveled with the campaign for more than 150 days following the publication. Prior to joined the AP, Mr. Brandon was a staff photographer for the New Orleans Times Picayune during Hurricane Katrina. He was part of two staff Pulitzer Prizes for Spot News Reporting and Public Service for coverage during the aftermath of the storm. He is also a Little Rock native.
