Dr. Haydar Al-Shukri

Dr. Haydar Al-Shukri is professor and chair of the department of applied science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in addition to serving as the Director of the Center for Earthquake Education and Technology Transfer. His research has propelled him from Iraq to California to Arkansas and includes Observational and Theoretical Seismology, Applied Geophysics, Environmental and Geotechnical Applications, Digital Signal Processing, and Nuclear Monitoring.

Dr. Al-Shukri received his Bachelors of Science in Geophysics and Geology in 1974 and his Masters in Geophysics and Seismology in 1977 from the University of Baghdad in Iraq. Later he completed his Ph D. in Geophysics and Seismology from St. Louis University in St Louis, Missouri.
