Harold Ford Jr.

Elected to Congress in Memphis, Tenn., at age 24, Harold Ford Jr., served four terms in the U.S. House of Representatives before running unsuccessfully for Senate in 2006. The current chairman of the Democratic Leadership Council, Ford was recently appointed visiting professor of public policy at Vanderbilt University where he will teach a class on American political leadership. He is the author of Tomorrow's Patriots, a political memoir detailing his ideas and vision for the country.
