Janis Kearney

Janis Kearney, author, journalist, and lecturer, was the Presidential Diarist to President Bill Clinton during his time in office. As an author, she has produced two books: “Something to Write Home About” and “Cotton Fields of Dreams” about being the daughter of a sharecropper in the Arkansas Delta. In 2001 she began a fellowship at Harvard’s W.E.B. DuBois Institute. Then, in 2003 she was awarded the PUSH for Excellence Award for outstanding contributions in communications.
