Peter Bell is a Senior Research Fellow at the Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations at Harvard University and chairs the facilitation group of the NGO Leaders Forum. Before joining the Hauser Center, he was a visiting fellow at the Carter Center. Previously, Bell served as president of CARE USA for ten years. He has been president of the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, senior associate of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, president of the Inter-American Foundation, and Deputy Under Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare. He is a graduate of Yale College and holds a master’s degree in public affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.
