A Presidential Evening with Theodore Roosevelt

A Presidential Evening with Theodore Roosevelt

10.25.2017
On October 25, 1905, Theodore Roosevelt became only the second sitting president to visit Arkansas. During a speech in modern-day MacArthur Park, he met withprominent Arkansans and spoke extemporaneously on current issues of the day. On the 112th anniversary of that visit, noted Roosevelt reprisor Joe Wiegand returns to Little Rock to engage in a discussion on critical issues confronting the United States in 1917.
Should America have entered the Great War earlier and what impact might that have had on postwar Europe? What were his views on women’s suffrage? Following the presentation, the audience will be encouraged to ask their own questions of President Roosevelt.
