Richard Dawkins

One of the most influential thinkers in the world today, Richard Dawkins is the best-selling author of The God Delusion, a book that defines faith in a supernatural creator as a false belief. An atheist and critic of organized religion, Dawkins' views on evolution have earned him the nickname, “Darwin’s Rottweiler.” Professor for the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University, he broke onto the evolution scene with his 1976 book, The Selfish Gene, which popularized the gene-centered view of evolution.
