Arkansas 2007 Teacher of the Year Justin Minkel earned his bachelors degree from Cornel University and taught fourth grade for two years in New York City through the nationally known program “Teach for America.” After earning an advanced degree from the University in California, Berkley he returned to Arkansas where he teaches second grade at Harvey Jones Elementary in Springdale. He has been named a Milken Family Foundation National Educator and was one of the four finalists for National Teachers of the Year.
