Bill Halter

Bill Halter of North Little Rock was elected Lt. Governor of Arkansas in November 2006. A former Rhodes scholar, Halter served as deputy commission and acting commissioner of social security in the Clinton Administration after serving stints in the Office of Budget Management and the Executive Office of the President. Prior to running for office, Halter worked in the private sector as a management consultant with McKinsey and Company.

Jim Holt

Jim Holt of Springdale was elected to the Arkansas state House of Representatives in 2000 and later to the Arkansas Senate in 2002. Prior to his political career, Holt joined the military in 1987 and served in the U.S. Army Joint Intelligence Operations at the National Security Agency. In 1996, he became an ordained Southern Baptist minister.
