Al From is founder and chief executive officer of the Democratic Leadership Council a proponent of the “Third Way” governing philosophy that advocates progressive politics in the United States and around the globe. A veteran Capitol Hill and White House aide, From helped form the DLC in 1985. Under his leadership, the organization became a leading source of policy innovation within the Democratic Party and played a prominent role in the 1992 election of President Bill Clinton.
