Terry McAuliffe is former chairman of the Democratic National Committee and author of “What A Party! My Life Among Democrats: Presidents, Candidates, Donors, Activists, Alligators and Other Wild Animals.” While chairman of the DNC, McAuliffe raised more than $535 million dollars, shattering all previous records for funds raised by either party. He is credited with revitalizing and moving the Democratic Party into the 21st Century after the 2000 election left the party bankrupt. He has worked for Democratic presidential campaigns since the Carter-Mondale reelection effort in 1979.
